Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and daily progress accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients at all times.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Indiana.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of patient empathy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients with lifting and moving.
- Proof of passing a recent criminal background check and drug screening.
