Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is a plus but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
