Responsibilities
- Patient Relations: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare them for their appointments.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Assist providers during examinations by preparing instruments and handling basic procedures under supervision.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical charts.
- Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, manage incoming calls, and handle patient inquiries efficiently.
- Hygiene: Assist with basic patient hygiene needs and prepare exam rooms for patient visits.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not mandatory.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform physical examinations.
- Technical: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software is a plus.
