Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs, develop, and implement individualized nursing care plans based on clinical assessment and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and legal standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes that require immediate intervention.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certification in area of specialty (e.g., CCRN, CEN) is highly desired.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
