Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical judgment and established protocols.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians and licensed healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously, identifying changes in status and responding immediately to emergent needs.
- Document patient care activities, outcomes, and changes in condition accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in accordance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
