Responsibilities
- Provide direct assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately and report abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of licensed RNs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) timely.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Valid and current CNA license in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as required.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict medical protocols.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
