Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic wound care and assist patients with mobility aids and transfers.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, behavior, or status to the nursing staff promptly.
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient room and common areas.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs independently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
