Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and patients to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the medical records system.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
