Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and daily progress accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in Virginia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and stand for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and comfort.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
