Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patient comfort by maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records and charts in compliance with facility policies.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and family members regarding patient status and needs.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in restorative care activities.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kansas.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; new graduates with a passion for care are also encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical assistance tasks.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and a genuine desire to help the elderly and sick.
