Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic wound care and changing of dressings under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs and stretchers safely.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Adhere to all hospital safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
