Your Role as a CNA
In this role, you will provide high-quality direct patient care, assisting residents with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and comfort in a home-like setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Administer Care: Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and assist with range-of-motion exercises.
- Document Care: Accurately maintain patient records and care logs in accordance with facility policies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Safety & Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification: Must possess a valid Oregon CNA license.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting or moving patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassion: Strong empathy and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for patients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
