Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Document patient care activities, intake, and output accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain certification) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn electronic health record systems.
- Physical stamina to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
