Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates).
- Assistance: Assist registered nurses and physicians with procedures, treatments, and patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Hygiene: Maintain high standards of patient hygiene and ensure patient rooms are clean, safe, and organized.
- Communication: Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff promptly and effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs in accordance with hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing procedures.
- Personal Qualities: Compassionate, patient-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; good visual and auditory acuity.
