Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medications as directed by the RN or physician, ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, following safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Must be available to work the night shift (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- CPR/BLS certification required.
