Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and document vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) with high accuracy.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized environment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Update patient records and care plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Build rapport with patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as required.
