Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status, including vital signs, pain levels, and symptoms throughout the night.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Administer prescribed medications and document all care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers to prevent falls and injuries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively with the night shift nursing team and report changes in patient condition immediately.
Qualifications
- Current Michigan CNA Certification (CNA-1) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
