Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the RN immediately.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure resident comfort and dignity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations during the night shift.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team and other departments to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (evenings/overnights) with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
