Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and daily progress notes in accordance with facility standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and residents.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patient families regarding care status and concerns.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Michigan CNA license required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the shift schedule.
