About the Role
As a CNA on our night shift, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents. You will work closely with our nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care in a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals, adhering to specific dietary restrictions.
- Observe and report any changes in resident behavior or physical condition to the RN on duty.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Michigan CNA License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in long-term care or home health is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate nature and a commitment to patient advocacy.
