Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report changes in patient health, vital signs, and physical conditions to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide support with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Maintain Safety: Implement safety protocols to prevent falls, injuries, and infections within the facility.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document all treatments accurately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- License: Current and valid CNA license in the state of Missouri.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Availability: Must be willing to work night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
