Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance to ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates at scheduled intervals.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families regarding patient conditions, changes in status, and care plans.
- Assistance: Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning patients safely using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients by adhering to strict sanitation protocols and safety regulations.
- Meal Service: Serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with eating as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care techniques.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to show empathy, patience, and respect for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
