Responsibilities
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed by nursing staff.
- Patient Hygiene: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and move patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition to the charge nurse or physicians.
- Supportive Care: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills.
- Personality: Compassionate, patient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
