Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure hygiene and dignity.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Charge Nurse or RN, strictly following safety protocols.
  • Provide emotional support and communication to patients and their families during the night shift.
  • Document patient care activities, observations, and changes in condition in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including turning and repositioning patients to prevent bedsores.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Indiana CNA License required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform manual tasks.
