Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to residents.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely from bed to wheelchair or stretcher.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status, changes in condition, or immediate needs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document all care provided in the electronic medical record system (EMR).
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
- Current, unencumbered Oklahoma CNA license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care settings preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
