Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Medication Administration: Assist with medication reminders and document administration according to facility protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to emergencies and assist with restorative nursing techniques.
Qualifications
- License & Certification: Current, unencumbered Oregon State CNA license.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Training: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping the elderly and chronically ill.
