Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide safe and patient-specific mobility assistance, including transferring and positioning.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians and licensed nurses.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment to prevent infection.
- Document patient care plans and daily progress notes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Current, active Florida CNA License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to work flexible night shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
