Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any significant changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration for patients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate loneliness and anxiety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care plans, incident reports, and daily progress accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kentucky.
- CPR/BLS certification required (Basic Life Support).
- Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or medical assistance is preferred but not mandatory; we provide training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to patient care.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
