Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vitals: Accurately track and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, throughout the night shift.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide compassionate assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility as required.
- Ensure Safety & Comfort: Maintain a safe environment, prevent falls, and respond promptly to patient needs during the night.
- Collaborate with Nursing Staff: Communicate effectively with the charge nurse and other team members regarding patient care plans and changes in condition.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and care logs in compliance with facility policies.
- Administer Medication: Assist with medication reminders and distribution under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Engagement: Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents, engaging in conversation and activities.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Must hold a current, active CNA license in the state of Arizona.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- High School Diploma: Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently; physical ability to perform hands-on patient care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience: Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred but not always required.
