What You Will Do
As a CNA on the night shift, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care while they rest. Your dedication will directly impact patient recovery and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, communicating changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Wisconsin (or compact state eligibility).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a diverse healthcare team.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
