As a CNA on our night shift, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care during the evening hours. We pride ourselves on a culture of excellence, patient-centered care, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and concerns.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Louisiana CNA license required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, especially during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
