Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfer, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Follow all facility policies and protocols regarding infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current State of Texas CNA Certification (or enrollment in a CNA program with graduation date).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Valid state-issued ID and background check clearance.
