Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, according to hospital protocols.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during night hours.
- Communicate patient status changes and care needs to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current and active State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle critical situations calmly and professionally.
- High school diploma or GED required.
