Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and accurate vital signs monitoring with precision and care.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations, procedures, and minor surgical operations.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Administer medications, injections, and perform basic laboratory tests as directed by providers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and answer questions, ensuring high satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health record software.
- San Diego, CA residency preferred.
