Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses with wound care, patient transfers, and mobility support using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and visitors throughout the night shift.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the scope of the CNA role.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License for the State of Arizona.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Pass a background check and drug screen as part of the hiring process.
