Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and respect.
- Monitor Vitals: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by the RN or LPN.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, or walking aids to prevent falls and injuries.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and personal spaces are clean, organized, and sanitary.
- Communicate Effectively: Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately to ensure prompt medical attention.
- Document Care: Accurately complete patient charts and care logs regarding daily activities and observations.
- Support Procedures: Assist with basic medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of licensed staff.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior healthcare experience is required; we provide full training for the right candidates.
- Compassionate Nature: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move patients as needed.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and families.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance is essential.
- Basic Computer Skills: Comfortable navigating simple electronic medical records (training provided).
