Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs and stretchers.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, sanitary patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- CPR/BLS certification is preferred; training provided if no certification exists.
- Valid state CNA license (if applicable) or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- No prior experience required; we value attitude and aptitude over history.
