Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to residents/patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, walking, and transferring from bed to chair.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare meals and assist patients with eating as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required (we train!).
- CNA Certification (State of Illinois) is a plus, but we will accept candidates willing to obtain certification.
- Strong desire to help others and work in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
