Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Turn, reposition, and position bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient status.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current state certification as a CNA is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates (willingness to obtain certification during employment).
- Strong desire to learn and work in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
