Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary needs and restrictions.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests for assistance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program is preferred; however, candidates with a strong healthcare aptitude and willingness to obtain certification are encouraged to apply.
- Must be willing to obtain state CNA licensure within [Timeframe, e.g., 6 months] of employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
