Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer and move patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
- Communication: Communicate patient changes, concerns, and feedback to the nursing staff and physicians promptly and clearly.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, including changing linens and ensuring privacy.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. CNA certification preferred, but candidates with a strong desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a strong desire to work in a hospital setting.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; we will assist with obtaining this upon hire.
- License: Current state CNA license (if applicable) or willingness to obtain training.
