Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as per dietary restrictions.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and incident reports accurately.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents/patients.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff regarding patient needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CNA Certification preferred, but experience is not required for qualified candidates.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
