Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment for patients, including changing linens and sanitizing equipment.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Feed patients according to their dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be willing to obtain or hold a valid CNA certification (training resources available).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- Reliable transportation and a clean background check.
