Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to ensure patient hygiene and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely between beds and wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and nursing staff to report changes in patient condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to obtain or hold a valid CNA license (training provided for entry-level candidates).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation and scheduling.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
