Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent bedsores.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families to improve quality of life.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Current CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification is mandatory.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to the Milwaukee facility.
- Valid driver's license and background check clearance.
