Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Assist with feeding and hydration as needed.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or certification.
- Strong compassion and patience when working with the elderly or sick.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record entry.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients.
- Valid driver's license (preferred for facility transport).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
