Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to beds or wheelchairs.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and family members regarding patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CNA Certification is preferred, but not mandatory for this role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license is required for some locations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients with lifting.
