Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor Patient Health: Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean and organized.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer compassionate care and communication to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer patients using wheelchairs, walkers, and Hoyer lifts as directed by licensed nurses.
- Document Care: Accurately document patient care activities and intake information in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current California CNA License or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary. We provide paid training for the right candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move patients, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Availability: Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
