Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and flow sheets in compliance with hospital policies.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure the patient's environment is clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding patient conditions and changes in status.
- Assistance: Support patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active California State CNA Certification (CNA I & II).
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
