Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient information, symptoms, and care provided in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations while adhering to safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Active and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
